2011 – The Silk Road

Design of a unique performance, an artistic journey where East meets West, the live production of a large painting, set to music. This is an opportunity to discover the life of the Chinese painter Chang Shuhong, his time spent in France and his devotion to protecting and restoring Dunhuang, a key point of passage along the famous Silk Road. On the Place de la Courtine, in Saint-Paul de Vence, the beauty of Elizabeth Vidal and André Cognet’s voices helped to guide and empower the brush of the artist Chang Jiahuang, son of Chang Shuhong. This artistic, lyrical and visually rich performance is an ode to the beauty, tenacity and incredible story of a man who left everything to dedicate his life to protecting a highly symbolic place, Dunhuang.

Saint-Paul de Vence, France.
